Margaret Leng Tan is a pianist who is also renowned as the first professional toy piano virtuoso. She met John Cage in 1981, and they continued to work together for the last 11 years of his life. Since then she has been hailed as "the leading exponent of Cage's music today" and has established herself as a major force within the American avant-garde.
