David Harrington is the Director of Kronos Quartet, a San Francisco-based, Grammy-winning string quartet. He was inspired to form Kronos Quartet in 1973 after hearing George Crumb's Black Angels. The ensemble has since performed thousands of concerts worldwide, released over 45 recordings, commissioned more than 750 new works, and collaborated with renowned artists of many disciplines. Recorded live in New York City; guest curated by PEN World Voices and Symphony Space.
